A study of selected non-western music cultures, past and present, introducing a variety of musical concepts and styles from around the world, reflecting the inter-relationships between musical styles and the cultures in which they are created and interpreted. Successful completion of this course satisfies the Cultures & Peoples requirement for graduation.
